Extreme Backyard Play Set (Waimea)

The design of this custom play set was a collaborative effort between ZCI and the homeowners (and their energetic kids, of course). What started out as a mini tree house, grew to an ultimate activity zone that includes a climbing wall, a rope bridge and even a zip line!

Waimea Kitchen Remodel

This 80s kitchen was given a facelift by removing the dividing wall, creating an open concept kitchen and adding space for dining.

Whole House Remodel (Waimea)

Built in 1958, Single Wall Construction

Removed all carpet, tile and wainscoting; refinished wood floors; installed new tile floors in bathrooms and kitchen
Gutted bathroom but refurbished original built-in makeup vanity; replaced regular shower/tub unit with clawfoot tub
Gutted kitchen but refurbished original vintage cabinets; replaced some of the cabinet doors, duplicating original style; refurbished original lazy susan pantry
Moved two walls and two door ways
Converted small bedroom into master bath with doorless/curbless shower
Converted half bath to master walk-in closet
Refinished wood floors
Replaced all electrical and plumbing
Replaced all light fixtures
Replaced most interior doors and reused original vintage mortise locks; refurbished original front and back vintage doors with built-in windows; refurbished interior closet door with built-in ironing board
Replaced all windows except large front picture window
Replaced canec ceilings with drywall
Replaced roof

Whole House Remodel (Waimea)

Gutted kitchen, dining room, living room, and bathroom areas
Moved walls and door ways
Created new kitchen, dining room, family room, laundry room spaces
Raised ceiling in kitchen and family room
Removed fireplace mantle and re-tiled
Rebuilt stairs and replace railings
Replace all doors and windows
Built custom bay window in kitchen
Replaced flooring in entire house
Created additional bathroom, bedroom, and office spaces
Reconfigured master bathroom and created walk-in closet
Removed jetted tub in master bathroom and created new tiled shower space
Installed temperature-controlled floor in master bathroom

Window Replacement/Upgrade (Waimea)

Removed and replaced six windows, including one bay window, with white vinyl, dual pane, low-e coated windows
Enlarged window openings for two windows
Four windows were located on the second floor so a man life was used for easier and safer installation
